This one let me stretch some different creative muscles that I typically get to. I worked with Ryan Clark before, so when he approached me to work on a music video for his band, Demon Hunter, I was stoked for the opportunity to go wild. We shot all the footage we needed in one night and then I spent countless nights editing, animating, and having a blast to bring this to life.
Art Direction
The song explores the idea that people always fail. That meeting people with a sense of expected disappointment actually makes forgiveness easier. Riffing on the concept of starting in the negative, the art direction features just three colors: black, white, and red. That presented many opportunities to invert the image to reveal the negative.
